About the role:

Justteachers are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Bradford area. This full‑time role is to start immediately and will run until the end of the academic year, offering an excellent opportunity to inspire students and contribute to a thriving Art department.

This position is suitable for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs with a passion for the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and imaginative Art lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with curriculum requirements
  • Encourage creativity, experimentation, and independent thinking in students
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports artistic development
  • Demonstrate and teach a range of artistic techniques, media, and processes
  • Track pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and uphold safeguarding expectations
  • Contribute to departmental planning, displays, and wider school initiatives

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching Art at KS3–KS4
  • Experience working in UK secondary schools (ECTs welcome)
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one through Justteachers
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
  • Two school based references
