About the role:
Justteachers is seeking a compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision in Northampton. This full-time role begins September 2026 and runs until July 2027. You will support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them build confidence and resilience in their learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH needs
• Encourage emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams
• Support pupils in both classroom learning and structured activities
• Monitor and record student progress
Pre-requisites:
• Experience working with SEMH or behavioural needs
• Patient and empathetic approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Two recent professional references
