Role Overview: As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of primary schools, providing invaluable support to a range of classes and assisting teachers in creating a positive and engaging learning environment. Your role will involve working closely with students, providing individualised support, and helping to facilitate a range of educational activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive lessons that meet the diverse needs of reception students.
- Providing 1:1 support and guidance to students who require additional assistance with their learning.
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels supported and valued.
- Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and resources, and helping to set up and organise the classroom environment.
- Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the class and the wellbeing of all children.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, preferably in a reception or early years setting.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting the needs of individual students and contributing to the overall success of the reception class.
