Justteachers is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic IT Teacher to join our team in Rotherham. As an IT Teacher, you will have the opportunity to empower students with essential digital skills and knowledge, preparing them for success in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging IT lessons that cover a range of topics, including computer science, digital literacy, coding, and information technology.
- Teach students fundamental IT skills, such as programming languages, software applications, and computer hardware operation.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore, experiment, and problem-solve with technology.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to contribute to the development of the IT curriculum and extracurricular activities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in IT, Computer Science, or a related subject area.
- Experience teaching IT at the secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of IT concepts, programming languages, and digital tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Dedication to promoting digital literacy, critical thinking, and responsible use of technology among students.
