Teaching Assistant – Small Group Work
JustTeachers are working in partnership with a primary school in Prestwich, Manchester area to find them an enthusiastic and dynamic general class Teaching Assistant.
You will be responsible for supporting pupils in small groups to deliver extra support and/or booster sessions whether that be in numeracy, literacy or to support particular SEN requirements. You will be supporting pupils with a mixture of abilities and needs, so existing SEN skills and experience would be advantageous.
This position is full-time from September 2022.
Ideally you will have some of the following:
- ?A Teaching Assistant qualification or have experience in Youth Work, as a Sports Coach or have a degree and/or experience in Psychology
- Experience in EYFS / Key stage 1 or Key stage 2
- Working knowledge of SEMH, ASC or in supporting pupils with Numeracy or Literacy
- Be able to supply at least 2 education/school-based references
- Have a desire to become part of a committed team
- Be passionate about education
- Confidence when dealing with challenging behaviour
