SEND Teacher required
justteachers are supporting a partner Special School in Lancashire to find them an SEND EYFS Teacher. The role is full time from January and could be made permanent for the right candidate.
You will be supported by 2 TAs in the class, one of whom provides 1:1 support for one of the pupils. SEND experience is essential to be considered for this role.

The school is registered to provide full-time education in the age range five to 11 years
There are currently 56 pupils on the school roll
The school caters for pupils with a range of needs including social, emotional and mental health needs; speech, language and communication difficulties; and autistic spectrum disorder
The school organises classes based on pupils’ barriers to learning, rather than age or ability
The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding
The behaviour of pupils is outstanding
This school has been graded Outstanding by Ofsted
Teachers at this school take the time to understand reasons for challenging behaviour and de-escalate
The following skills world be advantageous;
- Working with Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH), Behavioural Needs and Autism
- Ability to work 1:1 or as part of a team
- Experience working in a challenging environments
- Passionate, friendly and outgoing
- An ability to improvise and support others in case of an unexpected event occurring
- Experienced any of the following training; Makaton, PECS, BSL, Team Teach, Manual Handling, Safeguarding, Epilepsy Training
