Experienced DT Teacher; Design Technology, Textiles & Food Technology
justteachers are working with one of our partnership schools to recruit an experienced Specialist Teacher for the Design Technology Department.
The school is a large over-subscribed inner-city school, based in East London for 11-18 year olds. The last Ofsted report rated the school “Good” with many outstanding features. The school has a harmonious community and a positive, supportive ethos. The School leaders have created a nurturing community; diversity is celebrated and opportunities abound. The school leaders challenge their pupils to excel in every aspect of their lives, academically, physically, socially and emotionally within a supportive, safe environment.
The post is for 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), Maternity cover; starting after the half term break and is mainly teaching Key Stage 3 Design Technology. This will include a term of Product Design, a term of Textiles and a half term of Food Technology to Year 7 & Year 8 as well as Year 9 Product Design. The department is very well resourced with all schemes of work in place.
Interviews will be held week commencing 21st September.
The role & candidate
- This post requires a capable and able Product Design Teacher who has the necessary subject knowledge to teach across Year 7 & 8 and Product Design for Year 9
- Previous experience teaching Product Design is essential
- Dependent upon your ability and experience you will find your timetable split between the specified subjects
