Justteachers teaching agency are working with a range of partner Primary Schools and Academies around Lancashire to find them Welfare Assistants to support the return of their pupils in the new school year.

We are looking for nurturing, supportive and encouraging candidates who are experienced in guiding vulnerable young people into routine and down a successful path. We expect this assignment to be for the month of September potentially until October half term. This position could be permanent for the right candidate.


  • To oversee behaviour, attendance and welfare issues relating to assigned year group/s.
  • To help remove welfare barriers to learning, enabling students to make at least expected progress.
  • In particular supporting vulnerable learners to make good progress, including – Pupil premium students – Looked after children – Young carers – Persistent non-attenders
  • To deal with issues in a positive manner, communicating actions to staff and parents as appropriate
