SEMH Teaching Assistant
justteachers are recruiting for an SEMH teaching assistant to work in a small sized SEN school in the Craven area. The position is full time and will be to start after the Easter holidays in April and is expected to run long term. The role will include working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who has an EHCP in place which makes reference to SEMH. This is an incredibly rewarding, but challenging role- the reward far outweighs the challenge however experience in this field would be essential.
Ideally you will have:
- Strong behaviour management
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH and Special Educational Needs
- Ability to differentiate between learning styles and abilities
- Strong curriculum knowledge
