Justteachers are seeking a SEND Teacher to work in one of our partner Special Schools in New Market. The school caters for pupils with an arrange of complex and physical needs aged 2-19 years old and learn from a creative curriculum.

The school is new and caters for children with special educational needs. The students have a range of learning difficulties, ASC,  physical and mobility difficulties. A number of their young people present behavioural difficulties arising from their condition; many have communication difficulties and use Makaton signing as their primary form of communication.

We require innovative, highly motivated and inspirational staff to join the team. You would be joining an exceptional group of highly skilled Teachers, Teaching Assistants and support staff who work collaboratively to provide a highly personalised curriculum.

What is the purpose of the role:

We are looking for inspiring and ambitious individuals to provide exciting and highly engaging quality teaching which delivers an appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of each pupil in accordance with the aims of the Academy. This will involve ongoing and close liaison with parents/carers, colleagues and other professionals and the management of a class team.

If you have experience supporting children with SEND; Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), we would like to hear from you!

To be eligible you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified teacher with QTS
  • Experience of working with children with high dependency and severe learning difficulties
  • Have empathy, patience and the drive to make a difference
  • Capability to manage confrontation and challenging behaviour or complex learning difficulties
  • An observant and responsive approach
  • A positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
