Behaviour Support for Alternative Provisions

Subject: SEN (Special Education Needs) Education

Branch: Lancashire Location: East Lancashire - Burnley, Blackburn and Preston area LancashireGB

Position: Support Workers

Type: Supply SEN Support Workers

Supply SEN

Pay: £60 - £70 per day dependent on experience

We have numerous positions around the Burnley, Blackburn and Preston area for Secondary support candidates. We need people who have experience working with ages 11+, this can be in an educational setting, outreach, social work, police, youth services or anything similar.

You must have at least 1 years’ experience working with young people of this age within the last 2 years or extensive previous experience. The successful candidate will have an open mind, a good sense of humour and not hold a grudge. Most of all you will have a willingness to give students who have faced many closed doors a chance, the time of day and someone that they can trust, potentially for the first time in their lives.

At this stage in secondary education many of the students have been failed and let down time and time again so they have built high defence walls but once they’re broken down they have the biggest characters, impressive skills and wit that could challenge any stand up. If you are confident that you could support their learning and making the best of the skills they have within an alternative provision that apply and hear about all the different clients we work with.
