Student Welfare Officer

 

An excellent School in Forest Hill are looking for a School Welfare Officer to join them for an immediate start. The role is full time, for the rest of the academic year with the opportunity to go permanent.

 

The school is a well-run and friendly school at the heart of the community, this is an excellent opportunity to join them in a central role within the school support team.

 

Job Role:

  • Lead on whole school First Aid provision – acting as main First Aider and coordinating support from other First Aiders; to have an overview of First Aid training and ensure all First Aiders are up to date with relevant training
  • To be the first point of contact to assist with students first aid, looking after sick students, liaising with parents/ staff etc., and reporting to SLT
  • Provide support for matters relating to student welfare and attendance and casual admissions for the seamless running of the school.

 

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of administration work practices and their application
  • Valid First Aid Certificate (training will be given)
  • Knowledge of administering first aid
