Our client, an “outstanding” academy in Warwickshire is seeking to appoint an Humanities teacher for the start of the new term in January 2018.

Humanities Teacher

This role is a long term role covering a maternity cover from January 2018 and could run into the Autumn 2018. The academy has recently been rated “outstanding” by Ofsted and they pride themselves on this rating! The school upholds passion and commitment to the students and staff and wish to appoint a candidate, into the Humanities department, to show the same enthusiasm as current staff.

This could be the perfect opportunity to gain experience in an “outstanding” academy teaching humanities to KS3 and KS4. If you have experience in teaching KS5, this would be advantageous, however this isn’t essential. The Academy will accept applications from NQT’s as well as experienced teachers.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Uphold the passion and commitment demonstrated by current staff throughout the academy
  • Have great confidence in own teaching ability
  • Hold experience teaching Humanities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Able to supply at least 2 educational references

 

The academy is happy to see experienced teachers from home nations, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Ireland. NQT’s are also welcome to apply, should they have strong classroom management.
