We are working with a secondary school in Sheffield, to recruit an English teacher from October 2026. Candidates will be considered for both full and part time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured English lessons across all key stages, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and strong academic progress.
  • Monitor and assess student performance, providing clear, constructive feedback and tailored support to help every learner succeed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum, contribute to departmental planning, and share innovative teaching ideas and resources.
  • Foster an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment where students feel confident, supported, and motivated to achieve their best.
  • Play an active role in the wider school community, including staff meetings, pastoral duties, enrichment activities, and whole-school initiatives

Pre-requisites:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching English at secondary school level.
  • A strong understanding of the English curriculum, supported by effective and engaging teaching practices.
  • Two relevant education or school-based references.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people, with the ability to motivate, challenge, and inspire students of all abilities.
