About the role:

Justteachers is delighted to be recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive primary school in Shipley.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident HLTA who is passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development. The successful candidate will work across the school, providing classroom support, delivering planned interventions, and leading lessons in the absence of the class teacher.

The role is full-time and offers the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and manage whole-class learning in the absence of the teacher.
  • Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
  • Work closely with class teachers to raise attainment and support pupil progress.
  • Assist with assessment, monitoring, and recording pupil outcomes.
  • Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND where required.

 

 

Pre-requisites:

• HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Confidence in leading whole-class teaching and learning activities.
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting pupils and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
