About the role:

A friendly and supportive primary school in Spalding is looking to appoint a committed Primary Teacher to join their team as soon as possible. This full-time, long-term position is to cover a staff sickness absence and offers the opportunity to become a valued member of the school community. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, including planning, preparation, marking, assessment, and building strong relationships with pupils and their families to support positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire and challenge all learners.
  • Take responsibility for planning, preparation, marking and assessment in line with school expectations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where pupils can thrive.
  • Develop strong working relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Pre-requisites:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has experience teaching within a primary school setting.
  • Has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice.
  • Is passionate about supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
  • Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one through justteachers.
