About the role:

Justteachers are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 SEND Teacher to join a supportive specialist setting in Winsford on a long-term basis from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of special educational needs and disabilities, delivering engaging and personalised learning experiences that enable them to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of Key Stage 2 pupils. Working collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SEND professionals, and parents, you will play a vital role in creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of KS2 pupils with SEND.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies as required.
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans and targeted interventions.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence.

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally supporting pupils with SEND.
  • Strong understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
