£160 - £200 PER DAY DEPENDENT UPON EXPERIENCE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the LS6 area of Leeds from September 2026. This full-time role is offered as a maternity cover position, with a competitive daily rate of £160–£200, depending on experience. The successful candidate will take on full classroom responsibilities within Key Stage 1, delivering engaging lessons and ensuring pupils continue to make strong progress throughout the duration of the cover.

The school is a friendly and inclusive primary setting with a strong focus on early development, pupil wellbeing, and high-quality teaching. Staff work collaboratively to create a structured and nurturing environment where children feel confident, supported, and motivated to learn. The leadership team is approachable and highly supportive, placing strong emphasis on teamwork, consistency, and effective teaching practice across KS1. This is an excellent opportunity for a KS1 teacher to join a positive and well-established school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS1 curriculum in line with national expectations.
  • Support pupils’ development in phonics, early literacy, and numeracy.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to maintain consistency.

Pre‑requisites:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Recent experience teaching within KS1.
  • Strong understanding of phonics and early years transition into KS1.
  • Confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
