A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Teaching Assistant who will focus on supporting children with special educational needs. This is a full-time position in a primary school in South Warwickshire. To chosen candidate will need to be ready to start after February half term with short listing currently taking place.

This is a Christian school where students are supported to create a chance to shine every day. They aim for all students to leave the school as confident, polite and independent young people with skills that will help them in their eventual career paths. As a school they are rated overall as ‘good’ in their Ofsted Report.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with additional needs
  • Support the children with their personal care needs, ensuring their well being and comfort throughout the day
  • Encourage independence by supporting children in developing self-help skills
  • Work closely with parents to keep them updated with their child’s progression.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • A level 3 qualification in early years
  • experience supporting young children with additional needs
  • the willingness to help with personal care if required
  • two references from educational or child-based roles
