Justteachers is delighted to be recruiting a caring and committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a warm, dynamic school in the Horncastle area.

Start Date: February 2025 (Shortlisting underway)
Contract: Full-time, long-term

This innovative school is dedicated to delivering a flexible, personalised curriculum through four distinct learning pathways. Catering to students aged 5 to 16—each supported by an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP)—the school creates a nurturing environment where every child can flourish, build confidence, and develop vital life skills.

The school’s team is passionate about fostering positive relationships between pupils and staff, ensuring a supportive atmosphere that drives both academic success and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to address individual student needs.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging, interactive lessons and activities.
  • Encourage independence, effective communication, and social development among students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to tailor learning strategies for each pupil.

 

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or support work.
  • Proven experience working with SEND students, particularly those with EHCPs.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
  • Two education or school-based references.
