Justteachers is recruiting agency looking for an enthusiastic and resolute Teacher of History to work within one of our partner secondary schools in Melton Mowbray. We are looking for a Teacher of History who are passionate about their subject and committed to providing a high quality learning experience for their students. This role provides a brilliant opportunity to positively impact young people through high quality teaching.  ECT’s are also encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities:

  • The preparation and delivering engaging and effective lessons to students in line with the school’s curriculum and policies
  • Monitor and report on students’ progress, providing additional support for areas requiring improvement
  • Working in collaboration with other teachers and support staff to enable students to reach and fulfil their potential, in a safe and positive learning environment
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment, promoting learning and curiosity

To be considered for this role, candidates will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching History at KS3 / KS4
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to inspire students
  • A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.
  • Two education or school-based references are essential
