A popular and high-achieving secondary school in Leeds is seeking a dedicated teacher to join their thriving music department on a part-time basis, 4 days a week to start after Easter to cover a maternity leave. The school offers a supportive and welcoming environment with a strong music department and prides itself on its well-behaved and engaged students who enjoy learning. The Role:

  • Teaching KS3 and KS4 Music, with the potential to teach A-Level.
  • Delivering engaging lessons that inspire creativity and musical development.
  • Supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Contributing to extracurricular music activities and school performances.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching KS3 & KS4 Music (A-Level experience would be a bonus).
  • A passion for music education and a creative approach to teaching.
  • Strong classroom management skills – the school has excellent student behaviour.
  • Two education or school-based references
  • Suitable for ECTs or more experienced practitioners
