We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner primary schools in Barnsley. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and creative lessons, providing one-on-one or small group support to pupils, and assisting in the planning and preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and creative lessons
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils, helping to improve their understanding of key subjects
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Work with children with diverse needs, including those with SEND, to ensure personalised learning
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers on student performance
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working with primary-aged children in a classroom or educational setting
  • A passion for education and a commitment to helping students achieve their best
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
  • Experience working with children with additional needs is an advantage
  • A valid DBS certificate on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
  • Two education or school-based references
  • The legal right to work in the UK
