Justteachers have an excellent opportunity for an experienced 1:1 SEN TA in the North Walsham area. This opportunity will be on a full-time contract working till the end of the academic year.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will provide 1:1 support with an SEN student understanding their needs and pushing him to excel further in their subjects. You will be required to keep the teacher up to date with their progress and support and your main priority is helping the students with their day to day tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support for a student with SEN, assisting with academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Support the student in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities.
  • Help implement the student’s individual learning plan (ILP) and tailored support strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting independence and self-confidence.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff to monitor progress and adjust support as necessary.
  • Promote positive behavior and encourage effective communication.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Level 1 or 2 teaching assistant qualification desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience in SEN
  • Strong knowledge of SEMH
  • Two education or school-based references
