justteachers is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Assistant to join a supportive primary school in LS15, Leeds. This role involves providing engaging and safe before and after-school care, supporting children’s social, emotional, and creative development in a nurturing environment.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Supervise and engage children in a variety of age-appropriate activities during wraparound care hours.
  • Plan and deliver fun, creative, and educational activities that promote children’s development and wellbeing.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all children, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Support children during mealtimes, encouraging healthy eating habits and positive social interaction.
  • Foster a positive, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for all children and families.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and school staff to provide feedback and updates.
  • Assist with setting up and tidying the wraparound care space.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Early Years Qualification (minimum Level 3) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children in a childcare or education setting.
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
