Justteachers teaching agency is recruiting for a passionate and experienced SEND teaching assistant to work within one of our specialist partner SEND schools located in Blackburn. The school provides education to SEND children with a range of complex needs from 2-11 years of age.

This full-time, long-term supply role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who need it most. You will be working with a small group of children with specific needs including ASC and SLD. The role is full time, working hours are 8.30-15.30, due to start in February.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safe and supportive environment, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH
  • Supporting the class teacher with positive and captivating earning approaches

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
  • A relevant Teaching or support qualification, or relevant experience
  • Experience working in an education, youth or care setting
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs
  • A clear enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.
