justteachers are working with a primary school Bedworth, Warwickshire who are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant on a fixed term basis starting February 25 until the end of the academic year to support children with SEND across the school. You will be supporting children on a 1:1 basis while also taking small groups of children within the classroom. You will be working with various class teachers assisting with lesson planning, preparation and monitoring pupils learning progress.

In this role your main responsibility is to ensure that the children and the young people you support maximise their learning potential and work towards positive outcomes. You will have previous experience working with children and young people in an educational, sports, community youth work or similar settings. Special Education Needs & Disability experience is vital in this role and it is imperative that you can demonstrate positive outcomes when working with youngsters.

You will need:

  • Level 2 or higher teaching assistant qualification or equivalent (Must be relevant to working with children)
  • Proven experience working with children in a school or relevant setting (That can be referenced)
  • A minimum of two references that cover the past two years, including last employer. Ideally references will be education or school-based references
