Justteachers is seeking a resilient and passionate KS2 Teacher to join a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Coventry. This school is dedicated to supporting children who face emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and academic skills in a structured and nurturing environment.

The school need someone ASAP on a full-time supply basis. With the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of KS2 students with SEMH.
  • Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment, using trauma-informed and restorative approaches to behaviour management.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with students, helping them develop self-regulation and confidence in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external professionals (e.g., therapists, social workers) to implement tailored support plans.
  • Promote the development of emotional well-being, social skills, and resilience alongside academic progress.

To apply for this role, you must have:

  • Experience teaching and supporting students with SEMH needs or in an alternative provision setting.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEMH and experience in adapting teaching methods to support their needs.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, positive behaviour strategies, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to provide two education or school-based references.
