Justteachers is looking for a compassionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a specialist Complex Needs School in Warwick. This school provides a highly supportive and structured learning environment for children with a range of complex needs, including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism (ASC), and sensory impairments.

This role is full-time on a supply basis and due to start in April 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver individualised and engaging lessons that cater to a wide range of learning needs.
  • Develop and implement Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) to support each child’s specific educational and developmental goals.
  • Use a variety of communication strategies such as PECS, Makaton, AAC devices, and sensory-based learning to support non-verbal students.
  • Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff, and families to provide a fully integrated approach to learning and well-being.
  • Create a nurturing and structured classroom environment that promotes engagement, confidence, and sensory regulation.

  • Experience teaching or supporting children with complex needs in a school setting.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
  • A strong understanding of sensory processing needs, communication difficulties, and assistive technologies.
  • Experience with PECS, Makaton, or other visual communication systems is highly desirable.
  • Two school based references.
