Justteachers is looking for an ICT Teacher to join a lively secondary school in the Burnley area on a long-term basis.

Part time candidates will be considered.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in ICT and Computer Science
  • Teach a range of ICT skills, including programming, data management, and digital literacy
  • Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing feedback to support development
  • Prepare students for GCSE, ensuring they meet curriculum requirements
  • Differentiate lessons to cater for the varying abilities and needs of students
  • Promote safe and responsible use of technology both in and outside the classroom
  • Contribute to the development of the ICT curriculum and resources
  • Support students in extracurricular ICT-related activities and clubs
  • Attend and contribute to departmental meetings and professional development sessions
  • Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and health & safety guidelines in ICT lessons

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Relevant qualifications
  • Proven experience of teaching ICT to KS3 & KS4
  • Strong knowledge of ICT Subject
  • Two education or school-based references
