A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Leeds is seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Music to join their team after Easter. The school prides itself on fostering creativity, collaboration, and a love for the arts, encouraging students to explore their musical talents.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate educator to lead engaging lessons and help students develop their confidence in musical performance, composition, and appreciation until the end of the academic year.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: After Easter
  • Duration: Until the end of the academic year
  • Location: Leeds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exciting and interactive Music lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Teach a range of musical skills, including performance, composition, and music theory.
  • Inspire students through the exploration of different music genres, cultural influences, and key composers.
  • Prepare students for performances and assessments, helping them build their confidence and technical skills.
  • Support extracurricular activities such as school concerts, music clubs, and ensembles.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diverse musical expression.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Arts department to design cross-curricular projects and events.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Relevant qualifications
  • Proven experience teaching English to KS4
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Curriculum
  • Two education or school-based references
