Justteachers are looking for a Teacher of French to join a secondary school based in Spalding to cover initially on a supply basis. The full-time post is due to start in February 2025 with shortlisting currently taking place.

The school is a larger than average secondary academy with state of the art facilities. Staff enjoy working within this well led, organised and welcoming school.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Delivering engaging and innovative French lessons up to Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Thinking outside the box to make learning French enjoyable and effective
  • Encouraging students to develop their language skills and cultural awareness

Starting on a supply basis offers the benefit of flexibility and the opportunity to become familiar with the school’s environment and students before potentially transitioning to a permanent role.

The ideal candidate would be able to provide examples of experience or have relevant transferable skills.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching French at secondary level, with a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Passion for languages and a commitment to inspiring a love for the subject among students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities
  • Two education or school-based references
