Justteachers are recruiting a dedicated and passionate KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant for an exciting opportunity at a specialist SEN school in Coventry. This full-time position is available to start as soon as possible, and we are looking for someone who is committed to supporting children with a range of special educational needs.

The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment where children with various complex needs, including autism (ASC), learning difficulties, and other sensory impairments, receive tailored support to help them succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with special educational needs in a KS1 setting.
  • Assist with personal care and support, ensuring the well-being of every child.
  • Support students with academic learning, ensuring lessons are adapted to meet their individual needs.
  • Work closely with class teachers and other staff to implement personalised learning plans and strategies.
  • Promote independence and help students develop life skills in a supportive and structured environment.

Ideal candidates will have :

  • Previous SEN experience
  • Teaching assistant qualification or relevant
  • Strong leader
  • Independent thinker
  • Strong Safeguarding knowledge
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the pupils and school.
  • Two recent professional references from an educational or childcare setting.
