Justteachers is recruiting for a SEND Specialist Teacher to join a vibrant SEN school in the Lincoln area on a long-term basis. This supply post is due to start in April 2025 or earlier by agreement with the school.

The school, emphasizes putting learners first, preparing them for their futures, and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to thrive in adult life.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Planning and delivering tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and monitoring progress.
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and other professionals to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
  • Managing challenging behavior effectively while fostering a safe and nurturing classroom environment.

 

To be considered for this role, candidates must ideally have:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications, such as QTS or PGCE with a specialism in SEN.
  • Proven experience teaching or supporting students with SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND frameworks, including strategies for autism, ADHD, or SEMH challenges.
  • Two education or school-based references
  • A clear Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one
  • The legal right to work in the UK
