justteachers is seeking a talented Female Teacher of PE to join their team on a long-term basis starting after February 2025 half term. This role is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to students’ personal development and physical well-being in a supportive educational setting. The school is located in the Peterborough area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Engaging PE Lessons: Plan and teach high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for sport and physical activity.
  • Encourage Healthy Lifestyles: Promote the importance of physical fitness and well-being among students, empowering them to make positive lifestyle choices.
  • Organise and Lead Activities: Coordinate extracurricular sports clubs, inter-school competitions, and other physical activity initiatives to enhance students’ engagement.
  • Assess Student Progress: Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed during lessons and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with colleagues to develop a cohesive and vibrant PE curriculum.
  • Pastoral Responsibilities: Support the pastoral needs of students, acting as a role model and mentor where needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A requirement for this position.
  • Subject Expertise: A strong knowledge of PE curriculum and experience in delivering lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Commitment to Student Success: A genuine dedication to helping students achieve their personal best, both academically and physically.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
  • Organisational Skills: Capable of planning, managing, and delivering high-quality lessons and extracurricular activities.
  • Passion for Sport: A proactive approach to promoting a wide range of sports and physical activities.
