Job Description

As a Reception Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, play-based lessons in line with the EYFS framework to foster a love for learning.
  • Take full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, and assessment.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports children’s development.
  • Work closely with support staff, parents, and carers to ensure the well-being and progress of every child.
  • Monitor and record individual pupil progress, adapting your approach to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Encourage the development of key skills, including communication, teamwork, and independence.

Qualifications and Requirements

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in EYFS with a thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
  • A creative, enthusiastic, and nurturing teaching approach.
  • Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
