Justteachers are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Teacher to join a supportive and nurturing school specializing in the education of students with SEMH needs. As an SEMH Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, flexible lessons tailored to the needs of students with a variety of social, emotional, and mental health challenges. You will work closely with other professionals, including teaching assistants and support staff, to create a safe, inclusive classroom environment. Your role will also involve building strong relationships with students, helping them develop confidence, resilience, and life skills.

The role is full time and is for an immediate start on a long term basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to teaching
  • The ability to create and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the needs of individual students
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a proactive approach to student support

Key Requirements for the role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Be able to supply at least 2 education/school-based references from the last two years
  • Hold strong behaviour management skills and be able to engage pupils regardless of their ability and background
  • Experience working with students with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviours is highly desirable
