Justteachers teaching agency is seeking an experienced and dynamic Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnership schools in Audenshaw. This full-time position involves working across Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2), supporting class teachers in delivering engaging and exciting educational activities. This role also includes providing targeted support to individual learners who may need extra help to reach their full potential.

The role is due to start between Feb/March with the view to becoming permanent for the right person. Hours are 8.40am-3.15pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons across KS1 and KS2.
  • Support the planning and implementation of creative and stimulating educational activities.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Help monitor and assess students’ progress, offering feedback to teachers and helping to adjust learning plans as needed.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning.
  • Assist with classroom management and the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure all students’ needs are met.
  • Support students with additional needs, helping them to fully engage in classroom activities.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant across KS1 and KS2 is essential.
  • A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred.
  • A passion for education and supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to meeting the diverse needs of learners.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A clear Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply
