Here at Justteachers we are currently seeking a Special Needs teacher to join one of our well-established SEND schools in Stockport. The school are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment
Responsibilities:
• Support and encourage young people of primary/secondary school age
• An empathic approach to behaviour management
• The ability to support teaching and learning within a special needs environment to a dedicated group of students
• Modelling and encouraging appropriate social behaviour in and out of school whilst catering for the general welfare of pupils
The right candidate will have the following:
• Relevant qualifications
• Proven experience supporting young people
• Strong knowledge of Special Educational Needs
• Two education or school-based references
• Must have Legal Right to Work in the United Kingdom
• Must have a current clear and enhanced DBS on the update service.
• The ability to support teaching and learning within a special needs environment
• An empathic approach to behaviour management
