A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Leeds is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team after February half-term. The school is known for its nurturing environment, focus on student achievement, and commitment to staff development.

Position Details:

  • Start Date: After February half-term
  • Duration: This post is due to last until at least Easter, with the potential of extending
  • Location: Leeds

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored academic and pastoral support to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons by supporting students’ engagement and understanding of the curriculum.
  • Work with small groups and individual students, offering targeted intervention to boost their progress.
  • Promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom.
  • Assist in preparing teaching materials and classroom resources.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a positive school experience.

 

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Relevant qualifications
  • Experience of building strong and trusting relationships with students
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Curriculum
  • Two education or school-based references
