A thriving and inclusive secondary school in Leeds is seeking an enthusiastic History Teacher to join their team after February half-term. Position Details:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Cover key historical periods and themes, encouraging critical analysis and thoughtful discussion.
  • Prepare students for GCSE exams, helping them develop a strong understanding of historical concepts.
  • Inspire students to appreciate history’s impact on society and culture.
  • Use creative teaching methods to bring historical events and figures to life.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the History curriculum.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Relevant qualifications
  • Proven experience teaching History to KS3
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Curriculum
  • Two education or school-based references
