£75 - £90 PER DAY DEPENDENT UPON EXPERIENCE

Justteachers are looking for a passionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) in the Fakenham area on a long term supply role starting after the February half term until the end of the Academic year July 2025. You will be required to have a fast-thinking and caring mindset and be up for a challenge. You will also be able to create an inclusive environment where you can help and inspire students from 1:1 to a small group of SEN students. As a teaching assistant you will be required to keep the teacher informed with the students you are helping and making sure the teacher constantly has a helping hand.

This role is starting as soon as possible and interview are already taking place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist in delivering tailored learning activities to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Support students in their emotional, social, and academic development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior.

Key Requirements: 

  • A level 2 or 3 TA qualification is highly desirable.
  • Two education or school-based references.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is desirable but not essential.
  • A caring and patient approach to support and motivate students.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by students with additional needs and a commitment to providing them with the best possible support.
