Justteachers are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support KS2 classes, full time in a diverse, inclusive and welcoming Primary School in Chorlton starting in February 2025. This post is to cover a maternity leave and will be expected to last until Christmas 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist with the learning and development of  students, helping them reach their full potential.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support where needed, particularly with students who may require additional help.
  • Help with classroom management and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of learning resources.
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting back to the teacher.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience supporting students in a primary school setting, ideally within Year KS2.
  • Knowledge Primary curriculum.
  • Confidence working with children across all Key Stages including EYFS
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
  • A proactive approach to supporting students’ learning and well-being.
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and caring, with a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
  • Two education or school-based references
  • A Clear Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for one.
