justteachers are seeking an Art Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Rochdale. The post is due to a maternity cover and is to start after the Easter holidays with shortlisting currently taking place.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Teach a diverse curriculum of visual arts, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media, to students across various age groups and skill levels

 

  • Collaborate with the Head of Department to support departmental goals and contribute to planning, assessment, and development of art programs

 

  • Maintain a positive and inspiring learning environment, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and artistic growth in all students.

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Relevant qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Proven experience teaching Art and Design
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Art & Design Curriculum
  • Two education or school-based references
