We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join with one of our partner schools in Wakefield. This opportunity is open to part time and full time candidates, looking for immediate start work. This is an exciting opportunity to support the learning and development of students in a dynamic and inclusive educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for working with children and the ability to engage and inspire students across a range of abilities and backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support individual students and small groups with their learning, providing tailored assistance to meet their needs.
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Prepare learning materials and resources as directed by the class teacher.
  • Assist in the assessment and recording of students’ progress.
  • Supervise students during break times and extracurricular activities.
  • Support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the well-being and academic success of students.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and training sessions as required.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the requirements below:

  • Relevant experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
