A unique opportunity has opened up for 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work within one of partner Primary Schools in Boston, Lincolnshire. The role is 4 mornings a week and will be working with a child in EYFS with Autism and ADHD. The role is to start as soon as possible and is expected to last until May half-term.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs, including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH needs, in both one-on-one and group settings
  • Foster strong, trusting relationships with students to build their confidence and promote independence
  • Modify learning resources and activities to ensure they are accessible and inclusive for all students
  • Encourage positive behaviour and offer emotional support to help students navigate and overcome challenges

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Previous experience working with children in a professional setting
  • Experience supporting in SEN or SEMH environments
  • A level 2 or 3 TA qualification is highly desirable
  • A caring and patient approach, with a commitment to supporting every child’s individual needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varied needs of students
