Justteachers are looking to recruit a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner primary schools in Boston, Lincolnshire. The role is to start in March of 2025 and is expected to last until July 2025. You will be working 1:1 with a student in Year 1.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 child, helping them stay on task and manage behaviors in a positive manner
  • Assist the child with understanding and completing classroom tasks, under the guidance of the class teacher
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and structured learning atmosphere tailored to the child’s unique needs
  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher and SEN team to follow and implement individualized learning plans
  • Monitor the child’s progress and report observations to teaching staff, offering insights to help refine support strategies

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • Previous experience working with children in a professional setting
  • Experience supporting in SEN or SEMH environments
  • A level 2 or 3 TA qualification is highly desirable
  • A caring and patient approach, with a commitment to supporting every child’s individual needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents
  • Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varied needs of students
