justteachers is excited to be supporting a vibrant primary school in Barnsley in their search for a passionate and dedicated KS1 Teacher. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a creative and nurturing educator who is enthusiastic about teaching children in Key Stage 1 and fostering a love of learning in young pupils.

As a KS1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that support the academic and social development of children aged 5 to 7. You will work in a supportive school environment, collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure the success of all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons that align with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for development.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the diverse learning needs of all pupils.
  • Support the social, emotional, and academic development of each child.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on pupil progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified teacher with experience or a strong desire to work in Key Stage 1.
  • Passionate about teaching and committed to helping young learners reach their full potential.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Ability to create an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and parents.
  • A proactive, professional, and enthusiastic attitude to teaching and learning.
  • A Clear Enhanced DBS check or be willing to undertake one.
  • Two education or school-based references
  • The legal right to work in the UK
