£83.40 - £90 PER DAY DEPENDENT UPON EXPERIENCE

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Behaviour Mentor with a small class of 12 pupils within a local Alternative Provision.

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting children in class with SEMH needs and behaviour difficulties
• Liaising with the teacher to stay updated with student progress
• Providing 1:1 intervention support or general support
• Effective communication and behaviour deescalation techniques
• Supporting students offsite on school trips and therapeutic learning

Requirements:
• The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable children or adults
• Must have Legal Right to Work in the United Kingdom
• Must have a current clear and enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Experience working in fast pace environments and thinking on your feet
• Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs, including cognition and learning difficulties, social emotional and mental health challenges, ADHD, and other complex needs.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet the individual needs of students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.
