Justteachers teaching agency are recruiting for a PPA teacher to work across a two form entry school in the Wigan area. This is a full time role and will be initially until Easter but this role is likely to continue. They need someone to start as soon as possible.

The school are looking for someone who has experience working from EYFS – Y6 but this is not essential, you need to be confident to teach all years.

They are a school who pride themselves on building a community within the school and ensuring staff have wellbeing days and much more!

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering engaging and effective lessons across a range of year groups from nursery to Y6.
  • Following the lesson plans provided by the regular teacher and adapting as necessary.
  • Maintaining a positive classroom environment.
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Supporting students’ individual learning needs and encouraging their academic progress.
  • Communicating effectively with students, staff, and occasionally parents
  • Leaving detailed feedback for the regular teacher regarding lesson coverage and student progress

Requirements: 

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with primary-aged children ideally from EYFS – Y6
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classes and subjects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards teaching and learning
